Lay teachers are covered, without cost to themselves, by the
Archdiocesan Lay Employees' Retirement Plan. Booklets outlining
the plan have been mailed to each teacher.
Life Insurance
Group Life Insurance is provided for each lay teacher in the amount of $50,000.
The cost is borne by the System. There is a voluntary Life Insurance component
which teachers can opt to pay for up to $100,000 of additional benefits.
Disability Insurance
The Salary Continuance Plan (Long Term Disability Plan) pays a monthly

The teacher bears the remainder of the cost of the plan.
