God Bless You, Fred
Fred Clark gave his entire life to Catholic education. Bishop Egan Conwell-Egan was Fred's home away from home.
Fred will always be remembered by my family as Santa. he was so kind and gentle with each child who sat on his knee at "Lunch with Santa". No matter how long the line or how much time it would take, Fred made sure each child had all the time they needed on Santa's knee. The lasting snapshot in my mind of Fred Clark is from December 2000 with all four of my children around him and the baby (2 months old at the time) with her fingers stuck in Santa's beard. God bless you, Fred.

Every teacher hopes to work for that administrator who knows how to balance the concerns of the parents, students, faculty, administration and the school system. Fred Clark was one of those administrators. When Fred returned to the classroom at the time of the schools' restructuring, his students witnessed his concern for them on a different level. It was indeed a pleasure to have had the opportunity to work for and with Fred.

I'm greatly saddened by Fred's passing. I considered him a friend who was very kind, conscientious and giving. I remember he always had a good story to tell and had a quirky sense of humor. Sometimes we would just sit and chat, and I always felt better afterwards. I wish that I could have been there to share in the honoring and mourning of an incredible guy.

I didn't know Fred Clark well and I didn't know him very long but my fondest memory of him is watching him portray Santa Claus for the little children at "Lunch with Santa". He was so attentive to each child. I'm sure they felt special. I made me smile because, after all, Christmas is all about the children.
